This article however, is here to introduce the iA. We first saw the iA at the New York Auto Show back in 2015. It's the first entry from Scion in the four-door market. Scion, being the youth-oriented brand of Toyota has been creating coupes up to this point but with the iA they're aiming to change that. The iA, along with the iM are the two new models from Scion, hoping to change the brand for the better, introduce more people to the brand as well as generally rounding off their model range more.
The car itself is actually based on a Mazda 2 (it shares most of the underpinnings from the Mazda), but Scion have been left to go wild with the styling of it. The sides are unmistakably Mazda 2 but the front and rear fascia have been changed somewhat radically. They're a lot different than the Mazda counterpart, but whether they're an improvement is questionable. Some people like it, some don't. We'll let you make up your mind on that one.
The engine is a 1.5 liter four-cylinder Mazda sourced unit. It's one of their Skyactiv powerplant, but obviously the Skyactiv badge here has been ripped off and in its place no lies a Toyota one. With just 106 horsepower and 103 pound-feet of torque it leaves a lot to be desired, but in all honesty the fact that it's so underpowered just leaves room for more tuning. No doubt we'll see some parts for the iA in the future but for now, feel free to check out our website for lots of cool products.

These are mostly minor updates but significant enough for them to release information that they will be doing so. Both of the BRZ and GT86 (known in the USA as a Scion-FR-S) are [...]
